Trafford is set to commemorate the sacrifices of its servicemen and servicewomen at events across the area this Remembrance Sunday.

These services allow residents to remember those who lost their lives in the two World Wars, as well as in a number of other conflicts.

The leader of Trafford Council, Tom Ross, and the Mayor of Trafford, Dolores O'Sullivan, are set to attend some of the events alongside other dignitaries on the morning of November 12.

Residents are asked to attend one of the services in Altrincham, Bowdon, Hale, Hale Barns, Partington, Sale, Stretford or Urmston.

A spokesperson for Trafford Council said: "Remembrance Sunday is an opportunity to pay our respects to the men and women who have died or who have been injured serving the country.
