With Christmas getting closer and 13.4 per cent of people putting their trees up in November, here’s a list of where you can buy real ones in and around the Trafford area.
1. Woodheys Christmas Trees, Washway Road in Sale. This shop has been providing the community with Christmas trees since opening in 2008. The company has teamed up with a “very good and reliable quality supplier”, meaning they can keep prices down. This will be the “first year we have been forced into making small increases for deliveries and the trees."
2. Paul’s Trees, partnered with ‘Ken Fraser Florist’, is located on Marsland Road, Sale. They offer a delivery service, netting service and Christmas tree stands too.
3. B&Q Manchester - Trafford Park, a classic place to shop for trees nationwide. As of last week, they have updated their site with Christmas trees “in stock”.
4. Kiwi Nurseries, a garden centre which claims to be “renowned for being the best value in Wigan and South Manchester”, are selling trees at their Stretford branch. Operating on Bradley Lane, the shop will be transforming “into a forest of Christmas trees of all shapes and sizes”, beginning in December.
5. J Parker’s Garden Centre on Carrington Road, Flixton are selling “great Christmas trees at good prices” according to four-star reviews from locals.
6. Chorlton Nursery, on Vicars Road, will have trees on sale from Friday 24 November. This year they are set to have “four different varieties of Christmas trees”.
7. Grove Park Christmas Tree, slightly further out, specialises in real trees, based at their sports club on Grove Lane, Cheadle Hulme. Delivery can be arranged by contacting the shop directly on their website (https://groveparkchristmastrees.org/cart/)
8. Christmas Trees Manchester, on Ducie Street, have a selection of live trees, and believe they are “real Christmas tree specialists in the North West of England".
