Manchester United's Old Trafford is opening its doors to welcome people into a warm and safe space this winter.
Members of the public can attend the weekly ‘Warm Hub Sessions’ on Monday evenings.
The club, in partnership with the Manchester United Foundation - a charity using football to “engage and inspire young people to build a better life for themselves” - will be offering people a hot drink and snacks for free.
The event is running for the second year after helping hundreds of people throughout last winter.
Every Monday, from 5 until 8pm, the public will have a place to escape the cold and the cost-of-living crisis. It also offers those in the community facing loneliness a place to enjoy company.
Those attending can enter via the Alex Ferguson Stand, and from there will be guided to the Red Cafe.
Manchester United have also received more than 200 shoeboxes with Christmas goodies, which will be handed out to identified children this festive period.
The foundation has also received 2,000 coats from fans, club members and players which will be donated to local poverty charities, a charity in Ukraine, and families in need.
The last ‘Warm Hub’ evening in December will be Monday 18, and the sessions will then resume in the new year beginning Monday 8 January. They will end on Monday 29 January.
