Residents accross Trafford needing support with their health and wellbeing can access professional help and advice throughout Christmas.
While many services wind down over the festive period, mental health services are still available – with a number of helplines available all day, every day, town hall bosses say.
The services, with details of what help is available, has been collated and can be viewed on Trafford Council’s website. This includes support for young people, residents suffering from domestic abuse and people with alcohol dependency.
As well as the normal hours of service, the website also contains information on out-of-hours services, as well as how to contact a member of the team.
There are also details of how to find out which pharmacies are open over Christmas and New Year for residents needing help with prescriptions and minor ailments.
Coun Jane Slater, Trafford council’s executive member for health and care, said: “Christmas should be a wonderful time for everyone but we know that sadly this isn’t always the case.
“If you are suffering, feeling isolated or in need of someone to talk to, please know you are not alone.
“You can call, text, chat – whatever the means of communication, there is someone who will be there to listen and respond to your needs.”
