A new Greggs has opened in Sale, just four doors down from an existing Greggs.
The store, located at 154A Northenden Road, becomes the latest addition to the street as of today (January 11), in addition to the already-existing Greggs at 160 Northenden Road.
It replaces a vacant retail unit that was formerly the site of Le Beauté Clinic.
The company says the new shop has created four new jobs in the area, and will stock ‘freshly prepared Greggs favourites’, including sausage rolls and steak bakes.
The shop will be open from 6.30am to 6pm Monday to Saturday, and 8am to 4pm on Sunday.

Shop manager Sandra de Berry said: “We can’t wait to welcome both Greggs fans and new customers to our brand-new shop.
“We’ve got an amazing range of tasty bakes, hot drinks, sweet treats and savouries available for takeaway or click and collect.”
Gillian Long, retail operations director for Greggs, said: “Our new shop in Sale, Northenden Road, has brought four new jobs to the local area, as well as providing customers with a modern, convenient new place to experience their favourite Greggs food.”
The news comes as the bakery chain said it does not plan to hike prices over the year ahead, but is unlikely to be able to offer price cuts as rising wages keep costs under pressure.
Greggs has revealed plans to open up to another 160 stores in the year ahead and cheered a strong end to 2023.
The group opened a record 220 new shops over 2023, with 33 closures and 42 relocations leaving it with 145 new sites on a net basis and taking its total estate to 2,473.
Greggs is set to open between 140 and 160 new shops on a net basis in 2024 as it looks to give customers more convenient access to its stores.
Roisin Currie, chief executive of Greggs, told the PA news agency: “Where there’s any location where you can’t currently access a Greggs easily, we want to try and get into that location.”
