A person had to be cut out from a car following a crash involving three vehicles in Sale yesterday (Sunday, January 14).
At around 6.30pm, a crash took place at the junction of Whitehall Road and Brooklands Road.
Two fire engines from Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) attended the scene, as well as a technical response unit.
One person had to be cut out from a car using special equipment.
A spokesperson for GMFRS said: “At just after 6.30pm yesterday (Sunday 15 January), fire crews were called to reports of a road traffic collision at the junction of Whitehall Road and Brooklands Road, Sale.
“Two fire engines from Sale and Altrincham and the technical response unit from Ashton-under-Lyne were called to the incident which involved three vehicles.
“The crew arrived quickly and used specialist equipment to extricate one person from a vehicle and worked with colleagues from North West Ambulance Service to assess them at the scene.
“Firefighters were in attendance for around an hour and forty minutes”.
North West Ambulance Service have been approached for comment.
