The family of a missing man said every day is a struggle as they appealed for information a month after his disappearance from Timperley.

Anthony Williamson, or Tony, was last seen on CCTV walking along Greenway Road towards Park Road at 11.12am on December 19.

On January 19, a month after his disappearance, the family of the father-of-two, who worked for more than 30 years at Wythenshawe Hospital and at his own practice as a podiatrist, said every day is a struggle.

His wife and two sons appealed for information from the public in particular those in the areas of Altrincham, Brooklands, Northenden, Sale, Stretford and Timperley, all areas with which Mr Williamson is familiar.

They said he has a chronic illness which causes him a lot of a pain and he was starting to think he was "no end in sight".

Simon Williamson said: "It is at the point where he thinks there is no end in sight and he is holding us back and we need to let him know this is not the case.

"We are desperate for him to come home because we are concerned for his wellbeing and not knowing where he is is a daily struggle. Dad, we love you, please come home."

Detective Sergeant Jake Corrigan, of GMP Trafford, said despite an intensive investigation there are no sightings of Mr Williamson at present.

He is white, around six feet tall, and he was wearing blue Berghaus fleece, blue cargo trousers, and a black coat. He was carrying a backpack.
