The body of a 23-year-old man has been found after emergency services were called near to Urmston Meadows yesterday.
Officers were called out to reports of a concern for welfare of a man on Queens Road, at around 3.30pm.
Water rescue specialists, police divers and other specialist incident response teams including fire crews were in the area, with a cordon in place at the the popular beauty spot.
Greater Manchester Police has confirmed the body of a 23-year-old man has been found today (Sunday, April 7).
A spokesperson for the force said: "Sadly, officers found a body of a 23-year-old man this morning.
"His next of kin have been informed.
"Officers believe there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding this incident.
"Enquiries remain ongoing."
Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service has also been contacted.
