An Altrincham coffee shop is postponing its opening only a day before it was set to open in the town centre.
The Starbucks coffee shop is part of the development of the former House of Fraser known as Foundation.
Overlooking the Stamford Quarter from a prime position on Stamford Square, where there will be an alfresco area, it will be well-placed to attract the attention of visitors to the town centre.
Initially it was set to open on Friday with freebies for the first customers but, today (April 18), it was revealed it is postponing its opening. The reason for the postponement was not revealed.
A Starbucks spokesperson said: "We apologise for the delay due to circumstances outside our control but we look forward to welcoming customers to our new Altrincham store soon.
"We appreciate the support and patience of the community – we'll be in touch as soon as we have more to share."
