A Sale primary school is on the shortlist for two awards at the Times Educational Supplement (TES) Schools Awards for 2024.
Lime Tree Primary Academy is shortlisted for 'Pupil Mental Health Initiative of the Year' and 'Staff Wellbeing School of the Year'.
The primary school on Budworth Road, which a part of Bright Futures Educational Trust, was on the shortlist for these awards last year when it came up short on them but it came away with 'Early Years Foundation Stage Setting of the Year' instead.
Its promotion of wellbeing is shown in activities like canoeing and climbing and the presence of a farm and forest schools on site.
Its principal, Clare Larkin, said: "We are delighted to be recognised with two nominations by TES for these coveted awards.
"Wellbeing permeates through everything we do at Lime Tree Primary Academy, it is a deeply embedded part of our culture."
All the award winners are to be announced next month.
