A man was left with life changing injuries after he was “pushed down a flight of stairs” in what police say was a “cowardly attack.”
The attack is believed to have happened at The Causeway, Altrincham at around 2.10am on Saturday June 8, prompting an urgent police investigation.
The 52-year-old alleged victim was taken to hospital in what officers say was a serious condition and where he remains for treatment having suffered “life changing injuries.”
Detective Inspector Andrew Langlands of Salford CID said: “This was a cowardly attack which left a man with serious injuries.
“Our investigation is moving at pace, and we are undertaking exhaustive enquiries to identify and arrest the person, or persons, responsible.
“We are now appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident, or who has information to share, including relevant CCTV, mobile or dashcam footage, to make a report to police as soon as possible.”

No arrests have yet been made but DI Langlands and his colleagues say they hope anyone with any information will come forward.
