A man has been charged with murder in connection with an alleged attack in a park in Old Trafford.
Joshua Carroll has been charged with the murder of Headley Thomas after the incident in Penn Park.
On September 12, 2022, Mr Thomas, known as Barry, was left with life-threatening injuries next to a bench in the park off Chorlton Road. He lost his life to these injuries in hospital on October 2, 2022.
An investigation was launched and this week Carroll (06/05/1995), of no fixed address, is to appear at Manchester Magistrates' Court.
Previously, in a statement, the family of Mr Thomas said he was loved by his family and by his friends.
It said: "Our brother was a caring man with a huge heart to match and we are saddened by this news.
"We as a family are searching for answers to this senseless act and to bring closure to a life that's lost."
