The first edition of family-friendly festival with an all-star line-up is on its way to the area in three weeks' time.

The Brit Fest aims to celebrate "The Best of British" when it arrives at Ashley Hall for three days from July 5.

Organised by brothers Anthony Prophet and Edward Prophet, who are the owners of The Bowdon Rooms, it is a family-friendly festival with an all-star line-up including a number of favourites from across the decades.

The headliners on the main stage, hosted by Hits Radio presenters Jenny Powell and Mike Toolan, are Bonnie Tyler, Heather Small and Scouting for Girls, while other highlights are Kim Wilde, Fleur East and The Feeling.

The line-up is in addition to other activities and attractions including the fun fair and the food and drink village.

Anthony Prophet said: "The anticipation is building with weeks to go until The Brit Fest. We've worked to bring together what we believe is an unmissable weekend of entertainment which will appeal to everyone whether they are festivalgoers or this is their first event.

"This includes our line-up of musical talent, including a whole host of music legends, who will be performing all their best-loved hits live on our main stage over the three-day festival."

The festival is sponsored by Myerson Solicitors, the Top 200 UK law firm with its base at Altrincham's Grosvenor House, Barrington Road.

The Brit Fest's other partners are Ashley Hall, ABC+ Warranty, Camden Town Brewery, Delta Hotels, Go Goodwins, LWC and Marlish.

The festival is at Ashley Hall for three days from July 5. A ticket for the weekend starts at Β£165.
