A Trafford Park businessman stepped up to support the community with its fundraiser for a defibrillator in Urmston.
The essential equipment is up and running at Abbotsfield Park, or Chassen Park, after its installation in recent weeks.
It is a popular park with residents, particularly on Sundays, when the Urmston and District Model Engineering Society's ride-on trains are accessible to all of these residents.
Friends of Chassen Park were fundraising for a defibrillator on the society's HQ when Craig Jones, of Trafford Park business Energy Gain UK, stepped up to support them.
Mr Jones said: "I visit the park regularly so I've seen first-hand the work the community group Friends of Chassen Park do to improve the public space. They commit their own time for the betterment of the community so when I found out they were fundraising for a defibrillator I wanted to support them.
"In the crucial minutes during a cardiac arrest it is important a defibrillator can be accessed and with a growing number of guests the defibrillator may one day save someone's life."
