All Altrincham Line trams are suspended between the town and Manchester Piccadilly in the city centre this Sunday (June 30).
Transport for Greater Manchester said the suspension is to allow for work between Brooklands Metrolink and Sale Metrolink.
They told the public to use alternatives if possible including buses, trains and trams on lines other than the Altrincham Line, all of which are running as usual.
There is a bus replacement service between the town and Manchester Piccadilly in the city centre.
On Sunday [30 June], work will take place on the Altrincham line.
