Trafford Council is asking residents about allotments in a bid to build an Allotment Strategy.

There are more than 30 allotments with a total of more than 1,500 plots all across the area.

According to the Trafford Council website all of them have a waiting list and of these only two of them have a waiting list which is short. These are Grosvenor Road Allotments in Sale and Granville Park Allotments in Urmston.

The authority is bidding to build an Allotment Strategy so becoming a plot-holder and being a plot-holder is a better experience for all.

There is an online consultation for the next six weeks and there are in-person consultations next month.

The online consultation is available at trafford.citizenspace.com/place/allotment-strategy-engagement/.

The in-person consultations at the town hall, Altrincham Library, Urmston Library and Woodheys Park.
