Two men were arrested in connection with an attempt to cut down a speed camera in Carrington.
The police attended the scene on Manchester Road at around 8.30pm on Wednesday (July 10).
A Greater Manchester Police (GMP) spokesperson said two men, both in their 20s, were arrested in connection with an attempt to cut down a speed camera.
The police are investigating if incidents on Edge Lane, Manchester on Monday (July 8) and Errwood Road, Manchester on Wednesday (July 10) are connected.
Detective Inspector Richard Lees, of GMP Trafford, said: "I would like to thank the member of the community who alerted us to the incident.
"This led to a swift response with us apprehending two suspects in the same evening."
Previously police said they are working with the authorities and Transport for Greater Manchester to remove and repair the speed cameras.
