Red bricks have started to appear on King Street, restoring the area to its original appearance prior to the development of the Mall. The selection of these bricks was particularly inspired by Stretford Public Hall, with their colour carefully matched to complement its historic façade.

The piers will separate and distinguish the individual shop fronts which are being created in varying sizes to accommodate all kinds of businesses. King Street will be accessible from day to night which will provide better connectivity into and through the town centre. The retail team are busy having conversations with retailers to take a space on the new high street. Announcements expected in the coming months.

The multi storey car park (MSCP) is also undergoing a vast transformation. The external ramp has been demolished and removed from site and the new internal ramp is almost complete. The car park stair tower also now features a striking sunshine yellow render transforming it into a beacon for the town centre and enhancing visibility up Chester Road and beyond. This bold colour choice is set to brighten the parking experience and serve as a lively landmark for the area. The new multi-storey car park will reopen in 2025. In the meantime, ample parking is available in the temporary car park accessible via Chester Road. Just look for the hoarded area between the Chester Road entrance and St. Matthew's Church.
