The head of Altrincham Grammar School for Girls has praised pupils for their "determination and resilience" as they collected a slew of top A-level grades today (August 15).
Students celebrated an outstanding set of A-level results for 2024 with 89 per cent of examinations graded at A*- B and 96 per cent graded at A*- C.
An impressive 75 students achieved an A* or A in all their subjects while 19 students achieved A* grades across the board and 68 per cent of all exams were graded A* or A.
Principal Stephanie Gill said: “We are delighted that our students have achieved such excellent outcomes as the culmination of their years of study with us.
"They are a fitting reward for the hard work, determination and resilience our students have shown during the last two years.
"They also reflect the wonderful support and excellent teaching students received from our staff.
"We are incredibly proud of all of our students and wish them the very best for the future.”
John Stephens, chief executive of Bright Futures Educational Trust, added: “Huge congratulations to all our students on their outstanding A-level results.
"These achievements reflect the students’ dedication and passion for their work.
"We also thank our highly skilled, committed and talented staff who have provided such great guidance to the young people.
"We’re also grateful to parents and carers, families and friends who have supported the students throughout.”
