Investigators were in attendance at two scenes across the region after a man was arrested on suspicion of drugs offences.
These two scenes were on Bennett Street in Stretford, Trafford, and on Hobson Street in Failsworth, Oldham, on Friday.
A National Crime Agency spokesperson said a man from Sale, Trafford, was arrested on suspicion of drugs offences a day earlier.
They were able to confirm a connection between the arrest and the two scenes on Bennett Street and Hobson Street but they were not able to confirm any other details of an investigation which is "ongoing".
A National Crime Agency spokesperson said: "On August 22, NCA officers arrested a man in his 40s from Sale, Greater Manchester, on suspicion of drugs offences. He remains in custody for questioning.
"As part of this investigation, two properties in Stretford and Failsworth, both in Greater Manchester, were being searched."
