Ashton on Mersey School students gained "record breaking" results in their GCSEs.
GCSE results day saw pupils across the country receive their results last week (Thursday, August 22).
The records were broken in maths with an all-time high of 15 pupils achieving a grade 9 in maths.
Another key school record was that 59 per cent of pupils received a grade 5 (a strong pass) in English and Maths, with a further 15 pupils securing a 9 in English Language or Literature.
While there was success at the very highest level for the whole cohort, with 25% of all grades achieved at grade 7 or above, there were many 'sensational' individual success stories such as the school's highest achieving pupil who achieved a sensational 8 grade 9s
Headteacher, Lee McConaghie, said: "The Ashton on Mersey School community is celebrating once more.
"Following student success at Key Stage 5 last week, it was another emotional and proud day of smiles and handshakes, this time for the Year 11 cohort of 2024.
"These examination results once more prove that if we believe in young people and provide them with a high-quality education, they can secure outcomes that are as strong as anywhere in the country.
"This year group are an illustration of the fruits of commitment and determination.
"I am delighted that all of our pupils can step forward with confidence with many of them choosing to stay with us by joining Ashton on Mersey’s Sixth Form.
"Many congratulations.”
