Police reassured residents after a report of "a potential piece of anatomy" on a residential road in Partington.
They received the report from someone who was on Lock Lane in the early hours of this morning (September 2).
There was a cordon close to the junction with Langdale Road with Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) in attendance but police reassured residents "the potential piece of anatomy" was an animal lung rather than a human lung. It is understood one resident was using it as fox food.
