Around 24,000 runners are to take on the Manchester Half Marathon on its return to the region this weekend.
The route takes in Stretford town centre, Sale town centre and the surroundings on its way to Old Trafford.
As a result, there are a number of closures between 7am on Saturday and 7pm on Sunday. Most of the closures are on race day, Sunday, apart from in the area around the town hall.
All buses are on diversion between the same times.
The website said: "We recommend Metrolink to travel to and from the event as there are several stops close to the event in Trafford."
