A police patrol stopped a van on the M62 which was almost two tonnes overweight.
They stopped the van during the day on Saturday according to a post on social media.
Greater Manchester Police (GMP), who were working in tandem with the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA), said the vehicle was almost two tonnes overweight at 5440kg. In addition the vehicle was uninsured, untaxed and without an MOT.
It was removed from the road and the driver was reported, GMP said.
