A man received "a large laceration" to his head in an assault in Altrincham.
The altercation was on Railway Street in the early hours of September 28.
According to Greater Manchester Police (GMP), a man received "a large laceration" to his head in an assault, although his injuries were not life-threatening.
They arrested six men on suspicion of Section 18 assault but, on October 6, they asked for information including footage from CCTV, dashcams or doorbells.
PC Josh Smith, from GMP Trafford, said: "This was an isolated incident in the early hours of a Saturday on a street where numerous people would have been.
"We arrested six men a few hours after the incident and they have been bailed while we continue with our investigation."
