A passenger in a parked car has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after the car reportedly "rolled down" a road.
On Monday, November 18, officers were called to reports of a car crash on Shay Lane in Hale Barns which saw a 40-year-old man, the passenger in the car, taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The car was initially parked up and stationary on the road at a slight decline.
The victim was reportedly waiting for his work colleague to return when the car began to roll down.
The driver then tried to stop the car from "rolling down" the road while his passenger was sitting in the front seat.
Emergency services worked in the area for more than an hour before the victim was rescued and taken to hospital.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: "At shortly before 5.30pm on Monday (November 18) three fire engines from Altrincham, Wythenshawe and Cheadle fire stations were called to reports of a road traffic collision on Shay Lane, Hale Barns.
"Firefighters assisted colleagues from North West Ambulance Service to rescue one person who was transferred to hospital."
Greater Manchester Police's serious collision investigation unit is now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
Officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have any footage, including dashcam and mobile phone footage from the area in the moments leading up to the collision.
