A local home care provider is spreading joy and raise awareness of the issues older people face this holiday season with community calendars.
Home Instead Altrincham Sale and Wythenshawe are recognising the impact of isolation and loneliness on older adults by handing out thousands of calendars to residents in the area.
The care provider felt that a gift lasting all year round would help bring smiles to people’s faces, especially with images showcasing local areas.
This year’s calendar also marks Home Instead's 15th year of delivering professional care and live-in care services to residents in Altrincham and Sale.
Over the last couple of weeks, Home Instead has distributed more than 5,000 calendars already to pharmacies, community groups, local hubs and charities.
Lucy Gill, co-owner of Home Instead Altrincham, shares: "At Home Instead, we love being part of our community and showcasing the talent of local people through our calendar.
"It’s a joy each year to share these images and bring a smile to people’s faces - I hope it inspires a sense of pride in where we live."
Ms Gill and her team often hold supermarket pop-up events where they hand out community calendars.
