FOUR Manchester Phoenix junior club players represented the north of England at the Inter-Conference Tournament.
The showpiece end of season event, attended by Sports Minister Gerry Sutcliffe, was held at the Hull Arena over the Bank Holiday weekend.
Phoenix U-14 captain Scott Robson and Jared Dickinson of the U-16s featured in the north's U-15 side.
Both players notched up points and made valuable contributions, including a goal for Dickinson in the 5-0 victory against the south east.
Jared was duly rewarded with a place at this summer's School of Excellence camp at which the majority of the England U-16 side will be selected.
Meanwhile, more senior players, netminder Matt Leeming and winger Ben Brown, both of the Phoenix U-18s, made their mark in the north's U-17 side.
Brown struck the team's first goal in a 3-1 win over Scotland, while Leeming achieved an impressive 91.3 per cent save rate in his two games, including a strong showing against eventual tournament winners, the south east.
The club congratulated all four players for the way they represented the Manchester Phoenix Junior Club at the event.
