URMSTON mathematician Krishen Bidd has completed his A-Levels with a clean sweep of five straight A grades.
Krishen, 18, who states his ambition is just ‘to be successful’, gained his top marks in Maths, Further Maths, Further Additional Maths, Physics and Chemistry and will now study Maths at Imperial College, London.
Manchester Grammar School, where Krishen studied, has enjoyed record A Level results for the fourth successive year with the A and B grades significantly in excess of 90 per cent.
It is also the fourth year running that more than 70 per cent of the grades were As, with 54 per cent of students gaining three or more A grades.
Dr Christopher Ray, Manchester Grammar School’s head teacher, said: “I am delighted by the continuing success of Manchester Grammar School students who were able to perform at the very highest levels as well as engage fully with a tremendous range of extra-curricular activities.”
