Manchester Phoenix’s defenceman Carl Graham handed in his request to be released from the club, due to his desire to return to the Bracknell area of Berkshire.
Graham, who had just begun his third season with the Phoenix, contacted player coach Tony Hand and advised him that due to personal reasons he was requesting to be released from his contract with the club.
Graham commented: “I’ve enjoyed my time in Manchester, but my work commitments outside of the club have changed and that has made me think about returning home. I’d like to thank everyone connected with the Phoenix for being so supportive during my time in Manchester.”
General Manager Andy Costigan noted: “I’ve spoken with Carl and he’s got the chance to play with Bracknell once all the transfer paperwork is processed. It’s probably too late in the week for him to be de-registered and re-registered in time for this weekend, but obviously he will not be in the Phoenix line-up this weekend when we travel to Sheffield on Saturday and host Milton Keynes in Altrincham on Sunday.”
