Kartel went behind in their league match against Old Alts, despite having most of the early play, but poor finishing and good goalkeeping from Rob Richards kept them out.

Slack marking gave Neil Snazel room in the box to score a good opener, but Kartel were level straight from the restart, through Alex Slade.

Kartel took the lead shortly before half time when a shot from Rick Wrench was turned into his own net by Glen Dawson.

The second half saw Kartel play some of the best football seen this season and Mike Gibbons was instrumental in most of it, paving the way for James Liversedge to score a hat-trick inside 15 minutes to give Kartel a 5-1 lead.

With Neil Dunn back in the team after a long-term injury Kartel were well worth the three points.

Grant Slade scored the sixth, turning in the box and finding the corner, and skipper Wrench completed the scoring, getting highest to power in a header for the seventh.
