HAVING heard of the proposals to demolish the Lennox Lea Hotel, I must strongly object.
This hotel is one of a string of developments in Sale, which destroy old buildings with character, replacing them with soulless flats or apartments.
Two other recent examples, which spring to mind, are the Dane Lodge Hotel, and more annoying, the old Victorian houses on Broad Road.
The Lennox Lea Hotel is a lovely old building, full of charm and character. It is a building, which should be cherished as an important part of local history. How long will this type of development be allowed to continue?
