SALE Sharks' assistant coach Rowen Shepherd has warned the players to beware the pitfalls of playing in Glasgow.
The former Scottish international, who played in the Heineken European Cup for Glasgow, is well aware of just how dangerous they can be in their own backyard.
"I know what Glasgow are capable of and they have taken some notable scalps at Hughenden in this competition," he said. That includes sides like reigning champions Leicester, Brive and Pau.
"This is a big tournament for the Scottish sides and graduating from the pool stages is a huge focus of their season.
"They have some impressive ball players up front such as Gordon Bulloch, Jason White and Jon Petrie and talented backs in Tommy Hayes and Glenn Metcalfe," added Shepherd.
The Sharks hope to have England full-back Jason Robinson back after suffering a dead leg in last week's home defeat at the hands of Bourgoin and, with Jos Baxendell an almost certain non-starter through injury, Aussie international Graeme Bond is in line to make his debut in the centre.
Injury will keep out fly-half Charlie Hodgson so Nick Walshe will continue his partnership with skipper Bryan Redpath.
