YOUR article about Sale actor Timothy Walker quite rightly paid tribute to his outstanding talent.
I was surprised, however, that no mention was made of Timothy's years with Sale School of Speech and Drama.
My children attended the school at the same time as Timothy. I recall that he joined the school when he was about seven years of age and continued as a pupil until he was accepted by the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art at the unusually young age of 16.
During his years at the school, Timothy won literally dozens of awards and trophies at festivals - my kids often said they never stood a chance when they competed against him! He was also successful in passing examinations in speech and drama.
I also remember him telling the school principal, the late Mrs Lilian Hutchinson that what he had been taught at the school was of great help in enabling him to be accepted by RADA and during his course at the famous Academy.
