THE call has gone out to the town of Altrincham - Get behind the Robins.
The Moss Lane men have lost their first two games of the season 4-0 - results about which no one can argue.
However, what is clear is that now - more than ever - your town's football club need you to roar them on to victory.
Footballing fortunes are by no means won or lost in the first week of the season - three years ago Alty scooped the league championship after failing to win their first eight games.
The largely untested side needs time to gel together as both squad, management and supporters mount a fairly steep learning curve.
Plus the beauty of football is that you can never tell what happens next - one man described it as 'equal measures of heaven and hell'.
Robins have to pick themselves up for their next test - away to Hucknall Town this Saturday.
After that, it's a home tie against north-easterners Gateshead on Bank Holiday Monday - when Alty will be looking to beat their opening day gate of 552.
Meanwhile, long-time Altrincham fans have been speaking about what their club means to them.
Gary Warrington, from Ashton-on-Mersey, said, "My dad took me to Moss Lane for my first game, which was Alty against Enfield. He took me there because it was less hassle than going to Man United or Man City. He could park near the ground, pay at the gate with no hassle.
"I've been going home and away for 5 years now and I would not dream of missing a match. Once you have got the bug you are hooked." he added.
"To anyone who was thinking of visiting Moss Lane for the first time, I'd say 'give it a go'.
"Alty is a very friendly club where you feel as though you are part of the club and not just a number on the attendance.
"As one of our songs goes, 'I'm Alty till I die,'" he finished.
Mark Murray, from Sale, echoed Gary's words, adding, "My dad took me to Moss Lane because he thought it was a nice friendly place to take the kids to watch football. At the time, there was a lot of hooliganism at league grounds."
"The friendly atmosphere of Moss Lane has not changed. How many Premiership fans get to enjoy a chat with their players, management and directors after the game?
"A cheap pint can be enjoyed after the game and the passionate fans will make anyone welcome."
He went on to say, "All Alty fans and the club are grateful for Messenger's campaign and we will always welcome new fans with the same appreciation.
"My message to anyone who likes football is 'Come on down to Moss Lane - and bring the family!'"
