THE National Canine Defence League is coming to Trafford next month to offer cut price neutering for dogs.

Petline organiser Chris Butterworth says owners can get their animals neutered for £20.

Dogs can also be fitted with microchips for £9.50 at this borough wide event and owners on benefits can have their pets fitted with this form of identification for free.

"But they have to take proof of the benefits they're on," she explains.

The roadshow is a joint initiative between the NCDL and Trafford council, opening times are 10am to 4pm and it will

* Woodsend Circle Recycling Centre in Flixton on September 18;

* the rear of the Community Centre on Norris Road, Sale Moor, on September 19.

On a different note, eight cats and four dogs have been re-united with their relieved owners.
