Meanwhile, Sharks are looking forward to record crowds as the season's opener against Northampton Saints approaches.
Season ticket sales at Heywood Road are on target to double to more than 2000 for the 2002/03 season, and with a limited capacity of just over 5,000, the full house signs may be a regular sight.
Sharks manager Carl Fox is delighted with the upturn in support.
He said, "After last year's successes both on and ff the pitch, we are delighted that the fans have backed us. The Sharks needed this backing to show that top class rugby is what the north west public wants."
