Workers at Manchester Airport have reacted with fury to the news that the chief executive has received a 20 per cent rise while the company considers cuts of 30 per cent in the pay of fire, security and other staff.
The Transport and General Workers' Union is holding a ballot on the possibility of industrial action at the airport over the controversial plans to cut labour costs and sell off functions.
