COUNCILLOR Reilly will be sorry to see that I am once again "aston-ished" to read his letter, "Bus Row", Stretford and Urmston Messenger, Oct-ober 25.
While I am glad to see Cllr Reilly responding to his constituents' con-cerns about bus service provision, I was sad to read his following com-ments: "I really don't care who else was or was not involved" in nego-tiations to extend the 256 service.
A lot of work goes on behind the scenes, by GMPTE, MPs, residents and the bus company themselves.
Cllr Reilly speculates over whether I believe I have a "God given right to press shoots".
I do have a duty, as elected member of the authority and official spokesperson for the Trafford district, to pro-mote and publicise the authority's work in the area.
Cllr Roland Griffin, Trafford spokesman for Greater Manchester Passenger Transport Auth-ority
