Abacus entertained struggling Dogtrout last week in the Manchester Amateur Sunday League. Much was expected from the home side after 2 consecutive wins and in the first half they didn't disappoint.
Abacus created chance after chance and after 10 minutes the in-form Danny Robinson finished well to put the home side 1-0 up.
Soon after good play from Gareth Hunt led to Chris Murray smashing home his second in as many games. The floodgates were now firmly open and Robinson scored twice to complete a first half hat-trick.
After the break Abacus took their foot off the gas and the visitors showed commendable spirit in pressurising the home defence, although stand-in keeper Chris 'Taffy' Milton was rarely called into action.
The game was becoming scrappy but there was still time for Danny Robinson to grab a late fourth, a feat which not surprisingly earned him the Man of the Match award.
This win moved Abacus into second spot in Division 1 behind NES Group. Abacus have a free weekend next week but face Procters at home on 11th November.
