ANOTHER victim of a pervert who is preying on people in the Urmston area is warning other women to take care when they go out alone.
Amanda Blake, 29, was grabbed and knocked over by a man matching the description of a suspect police want to question in relation to other acts of indecency.
The mother of two was walking her dog in a park last Monday evening when she was approached by the offender.
He asked her for the time, and when she looked at her watch he grabbed her arm. She then noticed that his trousers were around his ankles.
She struggled to get away from him, and ended up on the ground. Her attacker then fled. He was not found, despite a group of youths searching the park.
Amanda, who is epileptic, said she had never been so frightened in her life. She is still scared to go out alone.
She contacted SUM after reading last week's report about a man who was preying on young children. There have been a number of incidents this month, including indecent assaults and indecent exposures.
Amanda realised her assailant matched the description of the suspect, and wanted to warn readers that he was still targeting people in the area.
She said: "People who are out walking their dogs should be aware he's out there. This happened at 6pm in the evening when it was still light.
"It all happened very quickly. I ended up covered in mud and my glasses got broken. The group of lads who helped me were fantastic - they went looking for him and then stayed with me until my husband came.
"If I could get hold of this man I don't know what I'd do. I'm still scared to go out on my own. I don't know where I got the strength from to fight him off - if it had been one of my bad days, I don't know what would have happened.
"I don't want this to happen to other people."
The offender is described as being in his late thirties or early forties, clean shaven, five feet eight inches to five feet nine inches tall, with dark, receding hair.
DC Simon Clapperton of Stretford police said: "We are still actively searching for this man and making inquiries. We would welcome any further information relating to the attacks."
The attack happened in Golden Hill Park off Moorside Road, Flixton. Anyone with information about the incident should call Stretford police on 856 7669 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
