WAYNE and Patsy Newhouse, owners of Cadman's Dance Centre celebrated ten years in charge recently with a party.
Around 120 members past and present converged on the Sale studio to join in the celebrations, which included a Latin American demonstration by championship winning duo Andy and Kelly Kainz.
Wayne jokes that in another ten years he'd like to be soaking up the sun on a yacht in the Caribbean, but what does he think have been the high points of his first decade in charge?
"A group of dancers did really well to win the north west Super Dance League. It's the equivalent of Manchester United winning the Premiership. It's something you work towards and it took us eight years to achieve it.
"There was the occasion when Granada TV came to film a children's programme called Big Meg/Little Meg at the studio. That was last year," he says.
Before buying Cadmans ,Wayne was running Con-nections in Levenshulme and, in business terms, it was the equivalent of love at first sight. He also hit it off with the previous owner, Betty Morris.
The evening began with a champagne reception and included an auction of footballs signed by players from Manchester City and Manchester United. Proceeds from the auction went to Cadmans Superdance Team.
