TWO women have been indecently assaul-ted in Trafford after taking cabs home from Manches-ter.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the separate attacks which happened in Old Trafford and Flixton.

The force has released photo E-Fits of the two attackers and is urging people to be careful when they accept lifts home from nights out.

The most recent incident happened when a woman took a taxi from Whitworth Street West in Manchester at 1.45am on Sunday October 7.

The driver was meant to take her to Chorlton but drove her to Cornbrook Street in Old Trafford, where he carried out the assault but she managed to escape.

The offender (pictured above, left) is described as white, 30 to 34 years old, and under 6ft tall. He was of broad, heavy build, with very short, light hair. He had stubble and blue or light grey eyes, and was wearing a gold, plain wedding ring, a gold chain, a white t-shirt and dark trousers.

His vehicle is described as an old type saloon, possibly a Peugeot 405. It was red and had a taxi sign on the top.

The other attack happened when a driver indecently assaulted a woman passenger in Flixton after dropping off the rest of his passengers.

The offender(whose photo fit is above, right) picked up a group of four people near the Ritz in Manchester in the early hours of Thursday September 27.

He dropped three of them off and then drove to Loughfield in Flixton, where he stopped and carried out the assault. She fought him off and he then let her out of the car.

The driver is described as Asian, aged 35 to 40, and 5ft 9ins to 6ft tall. He was of medium to heavy build and had black hair. He had a couple of days' facial stubble and brown eyes, and was wearing a long-sleeved, yellow and blue checked shirt and beige casual trousers.

The car was a dark coloured VW Passat, thought to be pre-1996, with a taxi light on the roof at the rear and towards the driver's side.
