Abacus Football Club travelled to MUTV in the Manchester Amateur Sunday League last Sunday looking for their third win in a row.
Things started brightly when the goalkeeper somehow fumbled a speculative Gilsennan effort from 30 yards to put the visitors 1-0 up, and the lead was doubled within 20 minutes when Danny Robinson did well to chip the MUTV keeper from the edge of the 18 yard box.
This was as good as it got for Abacus and their lead was halved before the break. A dubious second for the home side levelled the scores and then two goalkeeping errors, the first of which resulted in the MUTV keeper scoring directly from a goal kick put Abacus 4-2 down.
A late Danny Counsel penalty made it an exciting last few minutes but it wasn't to be.
