STRETFORD Victoria Under nines kicked off their season in the Altrincham and Timperley League, with both the A side and B side in action.
They played at Turn Moss against Alderley Edge. The A side kicked off with an emphatic 8-0 triumph, with goals coming from hat-trick heroes Tom Marley and Lee Gavin. Man of the match Andrew Crompton netted two with blistering strikes from the edge of the box.
The B side also triumphed with a 3-1 win and goals came from Cameron Clarke, Colm Conway and man of the match Thomas Bennett.
Vics also played well-regarded Timperley side Unicorn in a friendly on Sunday.
Jack Lane scored from the half-way line to earn Vics a 1-1 draw.
