THE Mayor and Mayoress of Trafford, Harry and Margaret Faulkner, made their point about the importance of the flu jab this week - by rolling up their sleeves to have the injection themselves.
Cllr Faulkner qualifies for the free flu vaccine because he is in the 'aged 65 and over' category, while his wife must have the vaccine because, as an asthma sufferer, she is in the 'at risk' group.
Other people who should have the jab are those with chronic lung, heart or kidney disease; diabetes or weakened immune systems due to disease or treatment.
