A RAILWAY bridge that has become covered in graffiti and litter is the sub-ject of this week's Grotspots.
The bridge and its approach on Parsonage Way, Flixton, were featured in Grotspots last year and were immediately cleaned up.
But one reader said nothing had been done since to keep them in a good state.
He said the route had become a dim, dark, overgrown pathway attracting litter and groups of youngsters, and it had also fallen foul of irresponsible dog owners.
He said: "Perhaps Trafford and Rail-track need to take a more strategic approach with some of these Grotspots, to solve the problem once and for all."
Trafford council's head of envir-onmental services, Geoff Marsh, said: "This is one of those areas which isn't adopted for regular cleaning. It only gets cleaned on an ad hoc basis when it gets reported.
"We'll check who owns the land and make sure it gets cleared up. It's not really an area that we can develop because the council doesn't own it."
Litter problems can be reported to the council on 912 3604. People can also contact Trafford Direct on 912 2000, which provides information and help on a range of council services.
