ANOTHER valuable three league points were awarded to Sale Ladies 1stXI on Saturday after beating the Wrexham team Plas Coch 1-0 at home.
Throughout the first half both teams battled hard with neither gaining the upper hand.
Attacking forward Gill Davies had to abandon the game temporarily after an injury five minutes before half time.
However Sale played on and were able to close ranks until half time.
After a half time talk given by Sale's coach, Carol Savage, Sale went out in the second half as a unit and this proved profitable for them.
Sale's Captain Di Walker scored the all-important goal for Sale with the build-up from Carol Savage.
Plas Coch continued to fight on and fortunately for Sale they had a good score from a short corner disallowed.
Sale's defender Sarah Roberts proved to be a key player insuring that all attacking play by Plas Coch was broken down.
