ALTRINCHAM Kersal Mini section had a dual fixture with Mold and Orrell on Sunday.
At all age groups Altrincham went down to a Mold squad which showed superiority with committed and well trained teams.
However, against Orrell it was a different story.
The U7's and U8's played a combined team against Orrell and narrowly lost by 2 tries to 1, whilst the U12's gave an excellent overall team performance to achieve a convincing 28 points to 7 win, topped by an outstanding try by Angus Gordon.
Meanwhile, the Junior section played Winnington Park, the U13's and U14's winning their games convincingly.
The U13's were shaken at the start by Winnington Park, but the forwards soon began to dominate and provided their backs with good clean ball, which resulted in Winnington Park being carved open.
New boy Matt Collier showed good promise on his debut.
After an early try the U14's were also shaken by Winnington Park at the start, but like the U13's focused on their game and pulled off a convincing 51-5 victory.
A hard game saw tries from Matt Whalley, Ben Harris (2), Tom Coonaghan (3), Anthony O'Connor, Jamie Rutter and Daniel Harvey.
The tries were converted by Daniel Harvey and Matt Whalley.
