SORRY to see that Cllr Griffin was "astonished" over our involvement with our residents with regard to the 256 bus service on Irlam Road.

We were approached by some of our residents and asked to represent them. That's what they elect us for.

We entered into discussions with Stage-coach, and Stagecoach re-established the service.

I really don't care who else was or was not involved, settling the issue in the best interest of my constituents was all that mattered to me.

It would appear my only crime was daring to agree to have my photograph taken at a bus stop.

Perhaps Cllr. Griffin and company feel they have some God given right to press shoots. Perhaps I should have phon-ed the good coun-cillor first to ask perm-ission!

Had he and his coll-eagues been quicker get-ting the thing sorted, my residents probably would-n't have felt the need to contact me.
